meet the founder
Welcome! I'm Christine, founder of Tailored Fine Jewelry.
I’m drawn to jewelry that feels effortless. Pieces you reach for instinctively, wear often, and never tire of. I built this business around that idea, starting with one piece I return to again and again: natural diamond stud earrings.
My foundation was shaped at a well-known private jeweler, where I worked alongside gemologists, designers, and bench jewelers, developing a deep understanding of craftsmanship and material. I am certified through the Gemological Institute of America as a Diamond, Pearl, and Colored Stone Grader, and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Alongside my work in jewelry, I have spent over two decades in finance, a discipline that continues to shape how I evaluate every piece. I look for longevity, integrity, and a level of quality that stands on its own over time, without needing to be reconsidered.
how i work
I work privately with clients by appointment in Philadelphia. The process is straightforward and personal. I draw on a trusted network of diamantaires, vendors, and craftsmen allowing me to source exceptional pieces and oversee custom work with the same level of care. My role is to help you choose with confidence from the start, whether the piece is for you or someone important to you.
HOW I CHOOSE
My approach is thoughtful and selective. I only offer pieces I would be proud to own myself or give to someone close to me. What I enjoy most is helping someone find a piece they will wear, enjoy, and treasure for years to come.
I travel to jewelry shows around the world and work through a trusted network of diamantaires, vendors, and craftsmen, allowing me to source from the very best available. Every piece is chosen for its beauty, quality, and long-term wearability before it is offered to a client.
ON NATURAL, EARTH-MINED DIAMONDS
I work exclusively with natural, earth-mined diamonds. I believe there is an inherent value in something formed by nature and shaped over time. Natural diamonds carry a sense of rarity and permanence that feels essential in a piece meant to last.
While there are many alternatives available today, I choose to focus on natural diamonds and timeless pieces made to be worn, enjoyed, and passed down.
Every piece I offer is selected with long-term beauty, quality, wearability, and enduring value in mind.
What I Look For
Not all diamonds are the same, even when they appear similar on paper. Cut, proportion, matching, and overall presence can make a significant difference in how a pair looks and feels when worn.
For all diamonds weighing over one carat, I focus on natural diamonds that are:
- GIA-certified
- Well cut, so they have life and movement
- Well matched, so they sit naturally as a pair
- Carefully selected to balance beauty, quality, and value
The goal is not chasing technical perfection, but selecting diamonds that feel beautiful, balanced, and natural when worn. The pieces I choose are meant to hold their appeal for years, not just at the moment of purchase.
